UK personal care ingredient maker Stephenson has signed an expanded European distribution deal with German giant Brenntag.
The agreement, which previously covered selected regions in Europe, U.S. and Canada, will now include all European countries except Iberia, broadening access to Stephenson’s Durosoft line of naturally derived emulsifiers, solubilizers and emollients across the continent.
The deal will see Brenntag exclusively distribute the Stephenson range of Durosoft polyglyceryl esters, a line of emulsifiers, solubilisers, and emollients.
Stephenson said the agreement marks a major milestone for both companies as Stephenson gains a powerful distribution ally with deep market reach and technical expertise.
Conversely, the agreement enables Brenntag to enhance its product portfolio with high-performance, naturally derived alternatives to synthetic ingredients. This aligns with both companies’ strong commitment to sustainability and innovation in life sciences.
“This collaboration enables us to deliver multi-functional, plant-based ingredients to a broader European market,” said Rob Carr, managing director of Stephenson.
“The expertise and market presence of Brenntag make them an ideal partner to support our mission of helping brands create sustainable and impactful products.”
Formulated to meet the growing demand for clean eco-conscious formulations, Durosoft offers high-performance emulsification for skin and haircare formulations, while supporting natural and organic claims.
“The Durosoft range is an exciting addition to our beauty and personal care portfolio,” says Patrick Koch of Brenntag.
“It reflects our dedication to providing innovative, sustainable ingredients and products to brands and their formulators and manufacturers across Europe, enabling them to deliver impactful results to even more consumers."
