Dow Personal Care has launched MoistStar HA+ Moisturizing Technology, a novel ingredient that offers longer-lasting skin moisturisation and easier processing.
When a gel base lotion containing MoistStar HA+ was compared to a gel base lotion formulated with HA at equivalent levels, it was shown to provide double the moisturisation, on average, in a total of three consecutive rinsing challenges conducted over a period of four and a half hours. In addition to significantly improving moisturising performance, MoistStar HA+ Moisturizing Technology is a liquid, and therefore easier to handle and incorporate into formulations than hyaluronic acid powder. An independent lab found handling for MoistStar to be as easy as conventional HA solutions.
