DSM-Firmenich, Givaudan among in-cosmetics Korea gold winners

Givaudan, DSM-Firmenich and SAES Chemicals each won gold awards at the in-cosmetics Korea 2024 trade show in Seoul.

Givaudan won the gold award in the actives category for Illuminyl 388, SAES Chemicals took the top prize in the functional category for ZeoSAES UV Booster, and DSM-Firmenich won the inaugural K-Beauty Standout Award for Pentavitin.

The latter was selected from the participating companies in the ‘K-Beauty Inspiration Zone’ on the show floor.

A total of 13 ingredients were subject to review, including nine from the display section recommended by participating companies, four from companies participating at in-cosmetics Korea, and among 20 finished products selected by Mintel.

The other award winners in the active category were Hallstar Beauty, which took silver for Bliss Oléoactif; while the bronze medal was jointly awarded to Lucas Meyer Cosmetics by Clariant for Corneopeptyl and Vytrus Biotech for BaoLift.

Meanwhile, in the functionals awards, the silver prize went to Greentech for Sensol 100 and the bronze went to Lubrizol for Carbopol Fusion S-20 polymer.

The 2024 edition of in-cosmetics Korea opened at COEX in Seoul on July 24 and will run until 26 July.
