Basildon Chemicals, a subsidiary of KCC Corporation, has recently made large investments in new technology and facilities at their Oxfordshire (UK) headquarters.
The new facilities have significantly increased QC capabilities with a new analytical laboratory and a dedicated microbiological laboratory. In addition, Basildon has built a new applications laboratory and salon for hair care, enabling the provision of performance data to formulators. This data, whether generic or customer project specific, will accelerate the development of new product opportunities for Basildon’s customers.
Basildon’s parent company, KCC Corporation, has a Central Research Institute in Korea and the scientists based there, together with the team in the UK, can now provide a complete technology service from molecular synthesis through to prototype formulations and applications data.
The KCC Beauty range of products is ever-evolving due to trends in the Personal Care industry and the business continues to follow these trends closely, especially the Korean trends which have become so popular in Europe. With the aid of the new facilities in Oxfordshire, KCC Beauty has recently launched two new products containing Argan oil, helping KCC Beauty lead the way in formulating the future.
