CPL Aromas has marked its 50th anniversary in the business. Originally founded by brothers Terry and Michael Pickthall in 1971 as Contemporary Perfumers, the company now has 18 offices and five manufacturing plants
The company is the UK’s only fragrance-only fragrance house and remains fully family-owned, with Chris and Nick Pickthall, sons of Terry, as CEO and COO respectively.
Master perfumer Christian Provenzano joined CPL 30 years ago and it has dedicated R&D team has since developed a variety of innovations, beginning with AromaGuard, a bespoke malodour counteractant technology. The most recent, AromaSpace is described as “a unique combination of headspace and creativity”.
