Firmenich and MG International Fragrance Company are joining hands to build a regional perfumery production hub at MG’s campus on the Gebze Organised Industrial Zone near Istanbul. This was officially launched with a virtual ground-breaking ceremony.
The facility will cost CHF 47 million and will cover 15,000 m2 of floor space, featuring digital production, advanced QA laboratories and a high level of automation. When it is operational at the end of 2023, it will bring 20,000 tonnes/year of additional capacity for Turkey, the Middle East and the ‘Stans’ markets.
The two firms said that it “will help deliver high-quality and agile service to meet the bespoke needs of small and mid-size enterprises which are flourishing in the region”.
