Skin enhancement products launched

Mibelle Biochemistry recently launched two new products – Detoxophane, a second-generation antioxidant to protect the skin against city pollution, and MelanoBronze, a novel product to boost natural skin tanning.

The plant compound sulforaphane has been identified in sprouts of garden cress as a stimulator of detoxification and antioxidant enzymes to protect cells against toxic molecules.

Tested on isolated skin cells, Detoxophane (sulforaphane) was shown to stimulate the skin’s own detoxification systems. Detoxophane protects the skin against environmental and UV-stress factors; protects the skin against city pollution; and reduces DNA damage in skin cells.

Self-tanning ingredients based on DHA react with skin proteins forming brown colour but this tan does not provide a defence against UV light.

MelanoBronze helps to protect the skin because it stimulates the formation of melanin, the body’s own UV protection factor. Human studies demonstrated that MelanoBronze accelerates and enhances skin pigmentation – even without exposure to the sun.

MelanoBronze is an innovative ingredient for daily skin care products and for sun protection formulations.
