Trend for clear products

There is a growing trend for transparent products in the Asian cosmetics and toiletries market. Many products claim to use ‘clear’ formulation techniques in their gels and emulsions. Consumers always enjoy using clear products as they deliver cooling and soothing effects which are suitable for hot weather and high humidity.

AAK Personal Care has expanded its global distributor network with ABA Mexico. The Mexican cosmetic industry amounts to approximately US$9 billion per year, which ranks as the second largest in Latin America (after Brazil). In 2013, market growth was 5% and this year’s forecast is at the same level.

Mibelle’s AnaGain ingredient was the winner of the Advanced Ingredient Award 2014 at Beyond Beauty in Paris. The award was given for the first time to the most innovative hair care ingredient of the year at the Beyond Beauty Lab.

Brazilian production facility

Evonik Industries will start operations in a new plant to produce ingredients for customers in the cosmetic and consumer goods industries in Americana (São Paulo state, Brazil).
