One of the leading experts in the world of personal care, Prof Johann Wiechers, has died.
Johann Wiechers died of pneumonia on Sunday 7 November. Universally respected as a scientist, and with a warm personality, he will be greatly missed.
During his career, which began with Unilever Research in 1989, he published over 450 articles and was a regular speaker at conferences and exhibitions. He published his first book, "Science and Applications of Skin Delivery Systems" in 2008, and in 2010 he was nominated for the Lifetime Achievement Award for Cosmetic Science.
