As of April 1 2010, Gattefossé is the exclusive distributor of the cellulose derivatives of JRS to the personal care industry in all major markets. A distribution agreement has been finalised between J. Rettenmaier & Söhne GmbH+Co, KG (JRS) Holzmûhle (near Stuttgart), Germany, and Gattefossé, St Priest (near Lyon), France.
Cellulose derivatives are natural ingredients made from wood. JRS products are derived from natural products of renewable origin and they will expand the choice available to cosmetic formulators interested in natural water phase gelling agents. The combined expertise of JRS and Gattefossé will offer the personal care industry the solutions and services they need to take on the challenge of enjoyable natural skin care products.
