Since May, Symrise has offered specially developed and Ecocert-certified formulations for cosmetic products which contain the active ingredient SymRelief. An important component of this active ingredient is natural alpha-bisabolol which is obtained from the oil of the candeia plant that grows in endangered rainforests of south-eastern and central-western regions of Brazil, a country in which Symrise has focused on investment in sustainable bisabolol production.
