Silvia De Dominicis takes over as Cosmetica Italia director-deneral

Silvia De Dominicis has taken over as director-general of Italian trade association Cosmetica Italia with immediate effect.

Until March 2024, De Dominicis served as Johnson & Johnson MedTech’s global vice president of strategic commercial partnerships.

The Roman is currently president of Operation Smile Italia ETS Foundation, an Italian children’s medical charity.

In April 2020, she was included in the list of the top 100 most influential women leaders in Italy by Forbes magazine which, in October 2021, also included her among the 100 managers who led the country's companies out of the pandemic crisis.

“I am honoured to become part of such an important and strategic sector for our country. Cosmetics not only offers prestige and value to our nation through innovative, safe and quality products, but is also inextricably linked to the well-being of individuals,” she said.

“The enhancement of wellbeing and personal care, together with adequate prevention, have always been central themes in the healthcare sector, from which I come, and essential pillars for staying healthy at every stage of life.”

De Dominicis takes over from Luca Nava, who will remain in Cosmetica Italia as senior advocacy and European regulatory manager.
