During its 75th Annual Scientific Meeting and Technology Showcase breakfast in New York City in mid-December, the Society of Cosmetic Chemists presented the Joseph P. Ciaudelli Award to Dr Roger L. McMullen, principal scientist at Ashland.
This award recognises the best paper published in the Journal of Cosmetic Science during the calendar year. McMullen, a 20-year industry veteran who leads of a group of six scientists in the Measurements Science department at Ashland and is also an adjunct professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University, won it for ‘Investigation of the internal structure of human hair with atomic force microscopy’.
