Singapore Society postpones 2020 events

The Society of Cosmetics Scientists (Singapore) has released an update on their events for 2020 following the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a statement from SCSS President, Nobu Matsuoka, and Scientific Chairperson, Ming Jie Tan, it was confirmed that 'The Science Behind Asian Cosmetics (TSBAC) – Edition 7' will be postponed to a date later in 2020, and the SCSS Suppliers' Day will take place on 26-27 August 2021. Suppliers' Day will continue to be held at the Marriott Singapore, Tang Plaza Hotel, Orchard Road.

The joint statement explained the decision: "The decision to cancel and postpone the 2020 Suppliers Day was taken with the safety, health and welfare of the Sponsors, Delegates, Exhibitors, Speakers and Event Support Team being our foremost objective. The Council believe the SCSS must make a responsible commitment during these extraordinary times and we are working with our event partners on managing the changes. The timing for 'The Science Behind Asian Cosmetics – Edition 7' will be advised once the situation becomes manageable and authorities lift restrictions on events."
