Seatons, the natural oil subsidiary of Croda International, has launched prickly pear seed oil, the new emollient oil aimed at protecting the skin from the elements.
Derived from semi-arid regions of the world, the protective qualities of the prickly pear are reflected in the rich, moisturising properties of Seatons prickly pear seed oil. The prickly pear cactus does not give up its riches easily. The seeds are carefully removed from the spine-covered ripe fruit then cold pressed and refined to give a pale yellow oil that will add a protective layer to the driest of skin. Seatons believe their new product will confer connotations of protection against the elements, moisture retention and exclusivity. Prickly pear seed oil works well in daily aftershave balms, body soufflés and after sun oils.
