Dow Personal Care has introduced EcoSmooth Satin Conditioning Polymer for body wash and mild conditioning shampoo formulations. Unveiled at the New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists (NYSCC) Suppliers’ Day trade show, EcoSmooth Satin is the second product from the new EcoSmooth Platform and offers formulators the ability to address consumer demands for moisturising body washes and conditioning shampoos.
In a series of comparative performance tests, body wash formulations containing EcoSmooth Satin were shown to provide equivalent sensory and foam performance compared with cationic guar and polyquaternium-7 (PQ7). In independent laboratory tests with shampoo formulations, EcoSmooth Satin exhibited excellent performance on both wet and dry European damaged hair in wet comb reduction and repeated grooming.
