Surfactant company, Colonial Chemical, has added Cola Teric CET (INCI: Cetyl Betaine) to its personal care line. Cola Teric CET is a mild amphoteric surfactant with inherently low skin and eye irritation.
Mild amphoteric addition
It imparts a unique after-feel to skin and a conditioned softness to hair. The product stabilises foam and builds viscosity in personal care cleansing products. It is also stable in extreme pH conditions and in the presence of oxidisers. Ideal for customers seeking a “green” alternative to traditional amphoteric surfactants, Cola Teric CET is over 68% natural with a Green Star Rating of 6.88. The new product is recommended for use in conditioning shampoos, mild skin cleansers and alpha hydroxy acid cleansers.
