Mumbai event will be important 2006 forum

The staging of Personal Care & Homecare Ingredients (PCHi) in Mumbai, India, in November 2006 will provide ideal conference and exhibition networking opportunities for specialised professionals of the seven member countries of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), of the Asia Pacific region and of the Middle East.

PCHi will provide an important forum for domestic and international ingredients’ suppliers and formulators to meet, share ideas, and advance their businesses.

The Indian Society of Cosmetic Chemists (ISCC) has agreed to co-organise the event, and the first conference session, assigned to the ISCC, will focus on India as an emerging market.

The SAARC member countries – Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka – cover just 3% of the world’s land mass but they are home to 22% of the world’s population, with more than 1.3 billion inhabitants. Within this population is a rapidly increasing number of consumers with significant spending power.

In addition to addressing needs of suppliers and formulators involved in personal care and homecare sectors, the Mumbai event will have much to offer those who create, and bring to market, ingredients for wellbeing.

The event, organised by Step Exhibitions, will be held at the Grand Hyatt, Mumbai, on 14 and 15 November. More information is available at the website www.pchi.info
