Evonik is promoting Antil Soft SC, a new multifunctional thickening agent. Antil Soft SC (INCI: Sorbitan sesquicaprylate) is a novel liquid multifunctional thickening agent for rinse-off formulations that reduces moisture loss in skin after surfactant treatment and improves foam creaminess.
It shows excellent thickening in various surfactant systems and works as a foam booster even in PEG-free formulations.The product is also very easy to handle, cold processable and can be used at low levels to produce clear body washes or shampoos. The recommended usage concentration is 0.5%-1.5%. For most properties, Antil Soft SC outperforms the standard, even with lower concentration. It is PEG-free, based on natural raw materials and readily biodegradable, which conforms to Ecocert standards.
