Grant Industries is promoting Gransurf 50C (INCI name: Dimethicone (and) PEG/PPG-18/18 dimethicone) which is an effective cyclic-free silicone emulsifier for water-in-oil (w/o) emulsions.
It is 50% active and uses a special grade of low viscosity dimethicone as the preferred new solvent choice. It is especially useful in liquid foundations where it assists in dispersing colour pigments. Gransurf 50C also functions as a wetting agent for pigments and as a coupling agent for emollients, moisturisers and sunscreens. It is uniquely positioned within the class of widely used formulation aids for water-in-oil (w/o) emulsions and other formulas that contain silicone oils and gels at levels of about 5% to 35%.
