Discover a new micro fibrillated cellulose powder designed to bring multifunctional performance and a distinctive sensory profile to personal care formulations.
Visitors to in-cosmetics Global in Paris are invited to learn more about this innovative ingredient developed specifically for cosmetic applications. This new micro fibrillated cellulose powder offers formulators a versatile solution for enhancing texture, stability and product aesthetics. Its unique structure delivers a sensory profile comparable to silicones, creating a smooth, soft and elegant feel while supporting the development of more sustainable formulations based on naturally derived materials.
Valida BC+ can be incorporated with low shear and effective at low dosage, it provides formulators with an efficient way to achieve multiple performance benefits while maintaining formulation flexibility.
In an external trained sensory panel, a formulation containing Valida BC+ was benchmarked against a positive control formulated with cyclopentasiloxane (D5). The results showed that Valida BC+ delivered an enhanced mattifying effect, reduced soaping, and an exceptionally light after-feel, elevating the overall sensorial experience. It also demonstrated comparable low greasiness and tackiness, highlighting its potential to deliver silicone-like aesthetics while contributing additional functional benefits in colour cosmetic formulations.
