US personal care manufacturer Bradford Soap Works changes name

US personal care product manufacturer Bradford Soap Works has changed its name to Bradford Labs following last year’s acquisition of Solo Laboratories.

The new identity unites 150-year-old Bradford Soap Works, which makes solid personal care products, and 99-year-old Solo Laboratories, a specialist in aerosol and liquid personal care solutions, under a single personal care product development and manufacturing platform.

The Rhode Island company said its new identity is intended to better highlight its position as a manufacturer with integrated solutions across aerosol, liquid, and solid formats focused on masstige and prestige brands.

“With nearly 250 years of combined experience in personal care manufacturing, Bradford Soap Works and Solo Laboratories each bring legacies rooted in continuous innovation, technical expertise, and an uncompromising commitment to quality,” said a spokeswoman.

The Bradford Labs rebrand includes the launch of a new website, bradfordlabs.com, designed to showcase the company’s expanded R&D resources, technical expertise, and commitment to innovation.

The updated digital experience provides customers and industry partners with a clearer view of Bradford Labs’ full-service offerings and its role as a strategic partner in product development and manufacturing.

Following the acquisition of Solo Laboratories in 2025, Bradford Labs supports products across aerosol, liquid, solid, and hot pour formats for skin, hair, body, and home care applications, as well as OTC drug products.

The acquisition also brings an extended geographic footprint; Bradford Labs operates four facilities spanning the East Coast, Midwest, and West Coast USA — a strategic footprint that supports brand partners nationwide.

“As an organization, we are uniquely positioned to address an unmet need in the market by offering integrated solutions across aerosol, liquid, solid, and hot pour formats, bringing flexibility, innovation, and a focused approach to support masstige and prestige brands,” said Shaun Gaus, president & CEO of Bradford Labs.

“This rebrand reinforces our expanded capabilities while also celebrating Bradford’s 150-year legacy of delivering agility, innovation, and best-in-class quality.”
