SCC elects President, directors for 2026

The US Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SCC) has elected the organisation’s President and other board directors for 2026.

The board of directors is the governing body focused on the SCC’s mission, strategy, and goal, and are responsible for representing the interests of more than 5,000 individual cosmetics and personal care industry members globally.

Effective January 1, 2026, SCC’s executive officers are:

  • President: Marisa Plescia (FemChem Beauty; Minneapolis, MN; SCC Twin Cities Chapter)
  • Vice President: Perry Romanowski (Element 44, Inc.; Chicago, IL; SCC Midwest Chapter)
  • Vice President-Elect: Valerie George (Simply Formulas; Dallas, TX; SCC Southwest Chapter)
  • Secretary: Mindy Goldstein, PhD (Mindy S. Goldstein, PhD, Consulting; Elwood, NY; SCC Long Island Chapter)
  • Treasurer: Volodymyr Onyshchak (The Estée Lauder Companies; Melville, NY; SCC Long Island Chapter)

"I am extremely honoured to serve as SCC President in 2026,” said Plescia (pictured).

“My fellow board members and I are committed to increased engagement and education opportunities for our members, expanding our community, and creating a strong future for the SCC,” she added.

SCC chief executive Erica O’Grady added: “I am looking forward to working with these exceptional SCC leaders in 2026.

“Their industry knowledge, diverse perspectives, and commitment to our members will be an asset to those they represent in charting the course for the organization’s future.”
