Spanish cosmetic products manufacturer Cosmewax has inaugurated a state-of-the-art factory in Puçol, near Valencia.
The 5,100 m² facility has a 7,000 tonnes per year capacity with 11 reactors and five filling lines, pairing end-to-end traceability with energy-efficient operations.
The new that combines AI, machine vision, and digital systems to optimize formulas, detect defects in real-time, and boost overall efficiency — a genuinely ‘smart’ factory where technology and sustainability work in tandem.
Advanced dosing, labelling and handling areas add automated controls and granular traceability, enabling agile format changes while maintaining the highest international standards.
Environmental initiatives are integrated throughout the entire site, including in-house production of osmotized water (reducing chemical use and transport emissions), circular practices through authorized recycling of plastics, cardboard, and pallets, the use of photovoltaic panels, and ongoing internal environmental training.
More than 20 specialised technicians staff the R&D and Quality Laboratory to fast-track cutting-edge formulas, assure batch quality and meet international regulatory standards.
A purpose-built warehouse — with a raw-materials room, a temperature-controlled room and two large dispatch areas — supports swift, accurate fulfilment for international retailers such as Superdrug, Rossmann and Boots. High industrial racking maximises vertical space for rigorous inventory control.
Even as operations begin in 2025, the plant has already achieved ISO 22716, SMETA and RSPO certifications.
Cosmewax serves 100+ clients across three business lines — skin care, waterless cosmetics and hair removal — with €34.6m revenue in 2024 (93% exports) and a €38m outlook for 2025.
