Leading an international team of 22 scientists, she defines the strategy and innovation roadmap for colour science across all product categories. Her department, a veritable crossroads of knowledge, initiates research programs to understand and decipher consumer desires by geography, culture and skin tone, and to anticipate future trends. She collaborates with universities, start-ups, suppliers and non-beauty industries to develop new concepts, technologies and raw materials.
Committed to inclusive beauty, Anke Hadasch spearheaded the development of a new skin colour classification system.
Based on an in-depth study of 3,000 women in seven countries (USA, Brazil, UK, Nigeria, India, China and Indonesia), this system defines six distinct skin coluor groups, providing a precise and objective framework for understanding the diversity of skin tones and developing cosmetics that appeal to a wider range of consumers.
Anke Hadasch is committed to raising awareness and educating about the science of colour, sharing her passion and knowledge with the world.
