New products presented at InCosmetics are Wheat bran and Millet seed extracts which are best suitable for green cosmetics.
The supercritical Millet seed extract has 1.5 % miliacin a secondary plant ingredient related to phytosterols. The oil is high in omega-6 fatty acids and has some squalene as well as sterols and tocotrienols. Millet oil stimulates cell proliferation and tissue regeneration. It has anti-inflammatory, healing and anti-aging properties.
The special feature of supercritical Wheat bran extract is the content of 2.5 % phytosterols, the presence of some tocopherols and tocotrienols as well as of alkylresorcinols which all make part of the unsaponifiable constituents.
Phytosterols have moisturising and nourishing properties, are effective against photo-aging and support collagen synthesis. Alkylresorcinols inhibit subcutaneous fat tissue formation. Taken together with valuable lipids and anti-oxidants this gluten free extract is recommended for stressed skin.
