CTPA celebrates 80th anniversary with London bash

The UK Cosmetic, Toiletry and Perfumery Association (CTPA) has held a birthday bash in London to celebrate its 80th anniversary.

Keynote speeches were made at the 8 Northumberland Avenue events venue near Trafalgar Square by CTPA chair Thierry Cheval, Director-General Dr Emma Meredith OBE and Geoff Percy, chair of Look Good Feel Better UK.

The evening celebrated 80 years of the trade association’s work within the cosmetics and personal care industry and a thank you to over 200 members, government representatives, partners, stakeholders and friends who have worked with CTPA over the years.

As part of the evening celebration, CTPA premiered a special ‘A Story That We Share’, which can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzp7FpIoHUA.

Told through the voices of numerous CTPA members and stakeholders themselves, ‘A Story That We Share’ is a tribute to its past, present and future and to the association’s achievements and strengths.

“For 80 years, CTPA has championed cosmetic science, innovation, and excellence. This isn’t just our story; as we celebrate this remarkable milestone, we honour the partnerships, breakthroughs and shared vision that have shaped the industry and society itself,” said Meredith.

“Anniversaries such as this are the occasion to celebrate past and present successes and look forward to an exciting future. To acknowledge where we have been and direct where we are heading, together with our members and key partners,” she added.

“Our industry's products and services touch all our lives every day, making a positive difference to our hygiene, health and our wellbeing. I want to thank our Board of Directors, committees and all our members for their incredible support and the powerful work we do together; and I want to pay tribute to the CTPA team for their exceptional work.”
