Experts collaborate for in-cosmetics Global dermocosmetics report

Experts in dermatology, cosmetic science, and personal care have come together to contribute to an expert-led report, released by the organiser of the in-cosmetics Global trade show.

The report, ‘Ingredient-Led Beauty Report, Part II: Exploring the Growth and Development in Dermocosmetics – Where Health Meets Beauty’, dives into the growing sector and explores its key trends, market drivers, and challenges.

Notably, it highlights the surging popularity of science-backed brands like CeraVe, La Roche-Posay, Avène, SkinCeuticals, and Cetaphil, which have gained consumer trust through dermatologist endorsements and proven efficacy.

Leveraging the latest data from Euromonitor International, the report highlights the crucial role of ingredient selection in dermocosmetics, while examining formulation considerations, testing protocols, and regulatory compliance.

Additionally, the report offers insights from medical dermatologists and experts from Skinosive, Evolved By Nature, Transactiva, NEX Skincare, ME&theCHEMIST, Syensqo, and more.

This edition follows the success of last year’s inaugural publication, The Rise and Influence of Ingredient-Led Beauty, which explored the emergence of ingredient-led beauty trends, debunked common myths about cosmetic ingredients, and showcased their impact on the beauty and personal care industries.

Benoit Canolle, CEO of the French dermo-cosmetics biotechnology company, Skinosive, said: “Dermocosmetics is a definitively science-driven discipline. Following years of innovation based only on formulation optimisation, it brings science and innovative molecules to cosmetics.

“We observe a huge increase in high quality publications and a science-proven approach. We are sure that this global trend will be reinforced in the next few years, allowing products that offer a science-proven efficacy.”

Roziani Zulkifli, RX Global’s event director of in-cosmetics Global, added: “Dermocosmetics is an increasingly important part of the industry, driven not least by social media, and growing consumer knowledge and their demand for science- and medically backed products.

“This report on dermocosmetics examines the intersection of dermatology, medicine, and beauty, offering invaluable insights from experts across the globe.”

The report also gives attendees a glimpse of what this year’s show has in store. Science, dermatology, and the dermocosmetics sector will be explored in greater detail at the event, making this report an excellent starting point for the conversations ahead.”
