Siltech appoints Sygo as personal care global sales manager

Canadian speciality silicones maker Siltech has appointed Matthew Sygo as its global marketing and sales manager for personal care.

Reporting to Siltech president Dag Enhorning, Sygo brings 22 years of sales and marketing experience to Siltech.

Most recently, he was North American director for Vantage Specialty Chemicals, where he focused on driving new business, developing the sales team and worked to merge traditional Vantage products with the portfolios of newly acquired entities.

Sygo started his career with Dow Chemical working in technical sales for engineered plastics before transitioning to the pharmaceutical industry.

Over the past decade, Sygo has worked as a leader in the personal and homecare market, first with BASF, then Lonza (now Arxada).

Sygo has a Bachelor of Science degree with a dual focus in Biology and Physiology from the University of Michigan.

His family consists of his wife of fifteen years Amanda and their four children (Max, Scarlett, Adalyn and Marek).

The Sygo family currently resides in Charlotte, North Carolina in the USA. When he has free time, he is very active with his children coaching football, basketball and soccer.

He also enjoys partaking in recreational sports, restoring antiques and is an active recruiter/mentor for the University of Michigan Athletic Department.
