Enhancing moisturisation

Silab is placing special emphasis on Cohesium, its new active ingredient which is purified from the tubers of ophiopogon, and which triggers the formation of tight skin junctions and increases the levels of natural moisturising factors (NMFs) in the stratum corneum.

Originating in Asia, ophiopogon, also known as Japanese lily turf, is a plant that can withstand drought due to the presence in its tubers of mucilages – substances with water-trapping properties.

Cohesium improves the cohension of the upper layers of the epidermis and restructures the skin’s barrier function. It is recommended for all restructuring and moisturising products.
