Sustainable protection against UV damage

Natura-Tec presents a cranberry seed oil extract ingredient that boosts the concentration of skin antioxidants, when subjected to stress by UVA, UVB or blue light exposure through biomimetic pathway, boosting the skin’s natural protection against environmental aggressions

Skin is routinely exposed to various environmental stress elements such as UV rays in everyday life. In order to be in accordance with the concerns of consumers regarding the safety and naturality of cosmetic ingredients, there is a growing demand for active ingredients able to protect from sun damage.

This could be by protecting the skin from the inside, by stimulating the skin anti-oxidant system, for example. Or even by boosting the SPF of sunscreens to reduce the level of physical and chemical UV filters, improving the naturality, safety, sensoriality and stability.

Natura-Tec has developed an active that is able to increase the SPF of sunscreens by boosting the natural capacity of skin to produce its own physiological antioxidants through biomimetic pathways. This protected skin from oxidative damage induced by external aggressions of UVA and UVB radiations for an inside-out protection against UV rays.
