Siltech will unveil the newest addition to the Sustain product series at the NYSCC Suppliers’ Day trade event in New York City on 3-4 May.
Silsurf Sustain Di-1010 is said to be an advanced silicone polyether copolymer that provides “exceptional conditioning in skin care and is ideal for foaming hydro-alcoholic hand sanitizers”.
The Canadian company said Sillsuf Sustain Di-1010 differs from traditional offerings as the “polyether component is derived from biobased plant sources, rather than petroleum feedstocks, assuring formulators of both functionality and improved sustainability”.
The product has a bio-based carbon content in excess of 66%, as measured in accordance with ASTM D6866.
The INCI is PEG-10 Dimethicone.
