Israeli jojoba oil specialist Jojoba Desert has launched a multifunctional emollient called JD Lusteris.
This is a non-volatile, low viscosity silicone alternative that is said to have “superior hair protection, lustre and shine with supreme sensorial effect”. Applications are envisaged in all areas of hair care from shampoo and conditioner to serums and balms.
A series of clinical studies were performed to test the efficacy of JD Lusteris, in which volunteers in a control group applied hair serums without it and an experimental group used hair serums infused with it. These, the company said, showed that JD Lusteris provided:
- Excellent conditioning effect in dry and wet combing force measurement
- Up to 80% decrease in hair breakage
- Significant long-last hydration benefit to the hair and scalp
