The BST solution for face mask skin problems

In the Covid-19 era, we are facing skin troubles by wearing a face mask daily, and repeatedly.

Wearing a face mask for hours causes the increase of the facial skin temperature by exhaling air. Like the current climate changes occur by global warming, our skin might have various skin troubles by the skin temperature rise.

Short time uses (6hrs) of wearing the mask causes the issue of skin temperature rise, skin flare (rashes), and excessive sebum. However, using for a long time (6hrs/2weeks), it causes elastosis, enlarged pore size, and volume, and leads to breakouts.

For the skin problems induced under your mask, BST suggests the following solution for the skin trouble.

  • According to the in-vitro test, it can be observed that BCX-CA has an anti-acne effect equivalent to or higher than that of tea tree oil.
  • Clinical studies have shown improvement in acne.
  • The effects of Anti-inflammatory and sebum release have been observed.

The solution for increasing sebum excretion, pore-volume, and acne lesions

BCX-CA, a natural anti-acne ingredient, is composed of the extract of Cypress leaf and Licorice root, and grape oil and it has been maximized its effect by bioconversion.

One of the advantages of BCX-CA being water-soluble is that it can be easily applied to a formulation compared to tea tree oil. It has been registered in patent and the thesis has been published.

BT-W, a natural anti-irritation agent, is composed of the extracts of potato, Centella Asiatica, and the Magnolia Liliflora flower and it has the effect of alleviating irritation and itching. It is a steady seller item of BST, it has been registered in Ecocert Cosmos and patented.

  • The effects of releasing irritation by a patch test can be observed.
  • In comparison irritation test with lactic acid, Centella Asiatic extract, Portulaca Oleracea extract, and BT-W, the result shows an excellent stimulation reduction in BT-W.
  • The IL-6 production and NO production stimulated by LPS were significantly reduced at the BT-W concentration of 1 to 1.5%, so it can confirm the anti-inflammatory effect of BT-W.
  • It could be used as an anti-histamine by inhibiting Hexosaminidase depending on concentration.
