Lubrizol Life Science – Beauty (LLS Beauty) has introduced Resulook, an advanced botanical ingredient, which, it said, “promotes growth and density of the eyelashes and eyebrows to revive the appearance of the eye and stand out in any situation”.
This is sustainably sourced from Myrothamnus flabellifolius, an African species that is known as the ‘resurrection plant’ for its ability to remain dormant during drought, then revive after a rainfall. LLS Beauty uses the Phenobio subcritical water technology to generate a broader range of phytoactives in higher concentrations and in a more eco-friendly way than chemical solvents.
The company cited in vitro testing with a serum and a mascara containing 2% of the ingredient which showed a 164% increase in eyelash length compared to a placebo. Other results were a lash lift effect and filling effect for bolder eyebrows.
