The global personal care business of AkzoNobel Surface Chemistry has announced the appointment of Jane Wang Ph.D., as regional technical manager, Asia.
Her responsibilities include administering technical resource allocation processes across all Asian markets and laboratories, developing and implementing technical service strategies for the region, and ensuring excellent technical support for all Asian customers. Based at AkzoNobel’s Songjiang site in Shanghai, China, Dr Wang reports directly to Gary Martino, senior director, R&D, AkzoNobel Global Personal Care. Dr Wang brings nine years of R&D experience in the home and personal care (HPC) industries to her new position. Prior to joining AkzoNobel, she was an HPC laboratory manager with Rhodia China at the company’s R&D centre in Shanghai. A graduate of the East China University of Science & Technology in Shanghai, Dr Wang went on to earn her Doctorate of Philosophy degree in Analytical/Bio-Chemistry from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Mo.
