Novel silicone polymer launched

Jeen International has introduced a range of patentpending silicone polymer systems utilising a new novel polymer.

Marketed under the JEESILC PS trade name (INCI: Bis vinyl dimethicone\dimethicone copolymer), the new series of products have skin care, hair care and colour cosmetic applications.

According to Jeen, the new polymer enhances texture, spread, refractive index and overall product film integrity of cosmetic formulations. This polymer is a non-crosslinked, linear polymer that leaves a soft powdery feel, while improving the conditioning properties of skin and hair.

The JEESILC PS series offers clear gels of cyclomethicone, dimethicone and isododecane solvents. In addition, the JEESILC PS series includes high polymer concentration products that are designed to enhance substantivity without compromising the preferred aesthetics of the formulations.

The non-crosslinked silicone products are ideal for improving skin feel and texture in addition to enhancing film-forming properties, according to Jeen.
