Global licensing agreement for animal-free sensitisation test

SenzaGen, a Swedish developer of animal-free in vitro tests for sensitisation and the British contract testing laboratory, XCellR8, have expanded their collaboration by signing an exclusive global licensing agreement. The new agreement covers the performance, marketing and sales of SenzaGen's new, vegan skin sensitisation test, GARD skin Animal Product-Free.

New location for China subsidiary

To support its development in South China, Sozio has relocated its subsidiary in the Science City Park of Guangzhou. This new location will comprise a modern perfumery laboratory and a warehouse to optimise delivery lead times.

Reed Exhibitions announced that in-cosmetics Global will be rescheduled. Following the steep escalation of COVID-19 across Europe, and in particular Spain, in-cosmetics Global will now take place from 6-8 October 2020 at Fira Barcelona, Spain.

Increasing availability of sanitisers in Europe

BASF Personal Care has started the production of hand sanitisers at different production sites in Europe. The products are being provided free of charge to hospitals, care facilities and other institutions in regions surrounding production plants. Lubrizol Advanced Materials has announced that it has increased production of its patented Carbopol polymers, a thickening agent found in most hand sanitising gels and cleansing applications, to assist with the global fight against COVID-19.

Acquisition agreed for Chinese distributor

Azelis has announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire 100% shares of CosBond, a Chinese specialty chemicals and food ingredients distributor (pictured at the signing ceremony -12 December 2019 - before distancing measures were required).
