Global licensing agreement for animal-free sensitisation test
SenzaGen, a Swedish developer of animal-free in vitro tests for sensitisation and the British contract testing laboratory, XCellR8, have expanded their collaboration by signing an exclusive global licensing agreement. The new agreement covers the performance, marketing and sales of SenzaGen's new, vegan skin sensitisation test, GARD skin Animal Product-Free.
New location for China subsidiary
To support its development in South China, Sozio has relocated its subsidiary in the Science City Park of Guangzhou. This new location will comprise a modern perfumery laboratory and a warehouse to optimise delivery lead times.

In addition, DSM also donated 2 batches of vitamin C products – 6 million chewable tablets to medical personnel and 100 million pills to help boost the citizen’s immune system in China.
New York Society presents webinar series
The New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists (NYSCC) has announced the launch of a new NYSCC 'At Home Live' Series featuring current topics and trends in cosmetic chemistry and formulation. These free educational programs will be offered several times a week starting 16 April and cover topics that are relevant and timely to chemists and product development teams in the beauty and personal care industries.

Reed Exhibitions announced that in-cosmetics Global will be rescheduled. Following the steep escalation of COVID-19 across Europe, and in particular Spain, in-cosmetics Global will now take place from 6-8 October 2020 at Fira Barcelona, Spain.
Increasing availability of sanitisers in Europe
BASF Personal Care has started the production of hand sanitisers at different production sites in Europe. The products are being provided free of charge to hospitals, care facilities and other institutions in regions surrounding production plants. The company wants to help overcome the current bottleneck for hand sanitiser that resulted from significantly increased demand.

Thickening agent production maximised in fight against virus
Lubrizol Advanced Materials has announced that it has increased production of its patented Carbopol polymers, a thickening agent found in most hand sanitising gels and cleansing applications, to assist with the global fight against COVID-19.
Acquisition agreed for Chinese distributor
Azelis has announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire 100% shares of CosBond, a Chinese specialty chemicals and food ingredients distributor (pictured at the signing ceremony -12 December 2019 - before distancing measures were required). Headquartered in Hong Kong, the company has offices and warehouses in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Beijing.
