Water-in-silicone emulsifer saves time

Cornelius has launched Cor-Sil Avance, a new water-in-silicone emulsifier that saves on ingredients and formulation time, while retaining a sophisticated skin feel.

“Cor-Sil Avance disrupts traditional water-in-silicone formulation methods, offering a brand-new approach to formulators,” said Liam Smith, group head of strategic marketing at Cornelius.

The emulsifier represents a shift in the way that water-in-silicone formulations are made by reducing production batch time via cold processing by up to 75%.

Smith continues: “With Cor-Sil Avance, customers can achieve a reduction of up to 40% in formulation costs. When combined with improved energy efficiency and capacity liberation, our breakthrough ingredient represents a cost-effective solution for streamlining the water-in-silicone formulation process.”

The accelerated formulation time facilitated by the innovative emulsifier does not compromise quality in its simplicity. Cor-Sil Avance has a light, elegant skin and after-feel, with no pilling. A premium silicone feel is achieved without the use of elastomers, additional film-formers and additives.

Smith concludes: “As we strive towards a more sustainable future, where performance is still key, our ingredients must work smarter not harder. Cor-Sil Avance demonstrates that when it comes to the next generation of formulation, less is most definitely more.”
