Our beginnings

ALGAKTIV was founded in 2015 by 3 scientists with one dream – apply the latest knowledge in biotechnology to unleash the vast potential of microalgae, the ultimate biology frontier.
 
The team had a clear vision: explore microalgae genetic diversity and deliver caring technologies to people through their complementary fields of expertise.

Our competencies

• Microalgae Discovery: From microalgae isolation, identification, and profiling (scalability, stress strategies, yield optimization), to creating a proprietary collection with more than 150 unique species.

• Organic Chemistry & Molecular Biology: The ability to analyze, isolate and characterize high-potential biochemicals to tap into the latest advances in targeted chemistry and predict successful clinical outcomes.

• Biochemical Engineering: Bioprocessing design, scale up of upstream and downstream processes and manufacturing strategies to ensure consistent, on-time delivery.
