Tim Probert (TP): What is the Federation of Japanese Cosmetic Ingredients Associations? What is the history of the federation and the associated organisations?
Yoshinori Iwase (YI): Fifty years ago, manufacturers and trading companies involved in cosmetics raw materials gathered to establish the Japan Cosmetics Suppliers Association in Tokyo and the Kinki Cosmetic Materials Association in Osaka with the aim of contributing to the development of the cosmetics industry.
In 2010 the two organizations, based in East and West Japan, joined forces with the aim of facilitating the smooth operation of Cosmetic Ingredients and Technology Exhibition (CITE) Japan and established The Federation of Japanese Cosmetic Ingredients Associations.
