Lubrizol has taken the wraps off Lectroglaze, a biotech ingredient that boosts the skin’s natural electricity levels and enhances its antioxidant defences.
The skin contains special bacteria, known as electrogenic bacteria, that generate bioelectricity to help minimize oxidative stress.
Lectroglaze enhances these electrogenic bacteria, as well as the skin’s natural electricity levels, powering up the skin’s antioxidant defences to effectively reduce oxidative stress and shield against cellular senescence and collagen degradation.
As a result, the skin looks poreless, smooth, hydrated, and glowing, achieving the coveted ‘glass skin’ appearance effortlessly.
In vitro tests showed Lectroglaze boosted the levels of electrogenic bacteria and bioelectricity, also offering a significant antioxidant effect.
Additional in vitro and ex vivo studies also demonstrated its ability to protect electrogenic bacteria and skin cells from the damaging effects of solar radiation and senescence, helping also to minimize oxidative stress and collagen degradation under aging conditions.
Through Lubrizol’s proprietary computer vision techniques, Lectroglaze has been shown in vivo to reduce the length and area of elongated age-related pores by 10.2% and 14.2%, respectively.
Additionally, the biotech ingredient improved skin luminosity, translucency, hydration, and smoothness, contributing to a glass skin appearance.
User satisfaction was high, with 91.5% of participants stating they would recommend this product to their best friend.
Produced sustainably with renewable carbon sources, GMO-free microorganisms, and clean methods using water as the only solvent, the biotech ingredient ensures minimal environmental impact.
