CITE Japan 2025 award shortlists revealed

The organiser of the Cosmetic Ingredients & Technology Exhibition Japan (CITE Japan) trade show has revealed the shortlist for the awards to be presented during next month’s event in Yokohama.

Winners of the two awards categories, environment and technology, will be revealed on the final day of the show, which takes place on 14-16 May.

The environment category shortlist is as follows:

  • Evonik - Ecohance Remo XP, an upcycled thickener that improves foam quality and sensory profile
  • Higuchi – Sensol 100, an avocado-derived silicone substitute paste oil upcycled by patented technology
  • Iwase Cosfa - The UV defence booster effect of Sea urchin-shaped Titanium Dioxide ST-750
  • NOF Corporation – Bioleam, a series of plant-derived emolients, provides both a excellent feel and functionality
  • Technoble - Blue Upcycle of seagrass

In the technology category, the shortlist is as follows.

  • Ashland - Zeta Fraction tech to extract water-soluble components from fresh living plant without using solvent
  • DSM-Firmenich - Eterwell Youth, a new life for your skin. Infinite well-aging, powered by senolytic science
  • JO Cosmetics - Summerproof UV
  • Miyoshi Oil & Fat - Ionic liquids rare in the cosmetics industry with various functions such as penetration promotion
  • Momentive Performance Materials - Harmonie NatuVel gel

A spokeswoman said: “CITE Japan will select and award the materials, packages, tools, equipment, techniques, and services (exhibition items) displayed that contribute to the cosmetic industry and have superior innovativeness, sustainability and usability.”
