NYSCC Suppliers’ Day 2023 breaks attendance records

The 44th annual New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists (NYSCC) Suppliers’ Day this month at the Javits Convention Centre broke attendance records, the organiser has revealed.

The New York City event attracted 10,362 registrants representing 73 countries, the best professional attendance to date.

In addition to an exhibit floor that featured 546 exhibiting companies including 174 new exhibitors, Suppliers’ Day also boasted 100-plus hours of education as well as its largest participation in conference delegates with almost 500 registrants.

The Future Chemists Workshop also broke records, with more than 100 students from 22 colleges and universities participating in a mini-challenge for the best upcycled leave-in hair and scalp spray.

“Attendees and exhibitors were energized by the look, feel and size of the show and being back together to explore, discover and discuss the science behind ingredients and formulations” said NYSCC chair Stacey House.

“Every inch of the show embraced our theme of Reimagining Renewal & Wellness and helped spark attendees' product development plans,” she added.

Plans are already underway for next year’s NYSCC Suppliers’ Day taking place on 1-2 May 2024, with 80% of the exhibitors already resigned over 90% of available exhibit space.
