Cargill Beauty promotes sustainable, nature-derived beauty system at in-cosmetics Asia

In response to growing consumer demand for more natural, ethical products, Cargill Beauty is highlighting its newest beauty formulations featuring nature-derived ingredients at in-cosmetics Asia in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Cargill Beauty System 1.0 for Skin Care is designed to showcase multiple sensory and texture universes. System 1.0 for Skin Care is specifically designed to offer a fluid and light sensorial experience. Each formulation in the range starts with a highly stretchable core. The core of the Cargill Beauty System 1.0 for Skin Care uses only 3 key ingredients, the universal texturizer ActigumTM VSX 20 a  bio fermented polymer that is a combination of Scleroglucan and Xanthan Gum, the new innovative Lecithin EmultopTM Velvet IP a NGM fluid lecithin derived from soy and an emollient a high oleic rapeseed oil Bota ValleyTM 75, to offer manufacturers an array of options for their natural and ethical beauty products.

The system was designed to be highly stretchable, you can change the texture and sensory experience by changing the percentage of each ingredient, by adding 1 ingredient or switching out 1 ingredient.  The core of System 1.0 for Skin Care was tested in vivo. The sensorial evaluation resulted in key attributes of the core being highly spreadable, opaque, glossy, non-sticky and non-whitening. The clinical test could demonstrate performance such as +14% skin hydration after 1h, skin hydration maintained for 8 hours and skin homogeneity improved for 48M of volunteers.

The first 3 formulas in the range are Express Body & Face Milk, Radiant Pearl Serum and Hydra-Comfort Gel-cream. These are an example of 3 different texture universes developed by the same ingredients. The textures are differentiated by changing the percentage of each ingredient in the formula. This allows for 3 different product positioning.

By adding one ingredient to each formula, you can create a new formula with new attributes. The addition of carrageenan SatiagelTM VPC 508 to the Radiant Pearl Serum, creates a new formula Aqua Marine Serum. The Aqua Marine Serum formula has higher cushion, more slip, higher consistency and a higher pick up than the Radiant Pearl Serum.  When you add a Carageenan to Express Body & Face Milk the result is After Sunny Day which provides a fresh gel consistency. By adding a starch to Hydra-Comfort Gel Cream (C*HiFormTM A 12747), the creaminess of the formula is enhanced, and the result is – Perfect Night Cream. The addition of starch pushes the viscosity to 2 times higher than Hydra-Comfort Gel-Cream.

The Cargill Beauty System 1.0 is safe, nature-derived, sustainable, simple, versatile and an affordable solution for natural and ethical beauty products.
