Preparation:
- A* Pre-wetting Algica®: Combine Algica® + Glycerin. Allow to hydrate at least 6 hours or overnight. Dilute with part of hydrolate to 1% Algica® dispersion (EX for a 100g batch use 4,9g hydrolate). Stir 30 min until uniform and no visible flakes or clumps of Algica® remain.
- Prepare Phase B (Main Water Phase): Combine Witch Hazel Hydrolate, Pentylene Glycol, Niacinamide, Makers Balans 7 Örter, and Quinoa Protein. Sprinkle in Xanthan Gum while stirring to avoid clumps. Mix until hydrated (15–20 min).
- Incorporate Algica® Pre-Dispersion: Add pre-dispersion slowly while stirring. Mix another 15 min for uniform texture.
- Finishing: Check pH (target 5.0–6.0). Adjust if needed and pour into sterilized bottles.
Notes:
Key Formulation Notes (per SAF Guidelines) • Always pre-disperse Algica® before adding; pre-wetting in glycerin is preferred. • Maintain stirring during cooling to prevent sedimentation. • Target use level: 0.10% Algica® (0.10 g per 100 g batch). • Ideal pH range: 4.5–6.5. • Temperature stability: >100°C. ! Do not use Ultrasonication ! Do not crush or grind
Final Product Characteristics: Light golden essence with fresh botanical scent.
