More than 1,100 employees produce auxiliaries for ceramics, for the leather, fibre & textile industries as well as phosphonates and surfactants (care specialities) for numerous applications. The range of available surfactants covers basic surfactants as well as specialities. Customised developments based on various technologies and an intense application and formulation support from more than 40 chemists and technicians are the basis for long term relationships with the company’s customers.
A focus of Zschimmer & Schwarz’s work is the development of specialised surfactant blends. The reason is that hair & skin have different needs. Matching all of them with one surfactant system is possible, but just a compromise.
Lumorol K 5019 & K 5303 are a mild, PEG-free and sulfate-free basis for shampoos. Both respect the hair fibre and are the right choice for colour protection shampoos for example. The amino acid derivatives of the Protelan range are mild and multifunctional ingredients for hair as well as for skin. Their additional benefits range from moisturising properties to bacteriostatic effects. Sebumol WO 200 & WO 300 - the new PEG-free emulsifiers - are finally the ultimate basis for light and nourishing skin care formulations. Sebumol WO 200 is preferably designed for synthetic oils whereas Sebumol WO 300 is the ideal alternative for more polar oil mixtures including vegetable oils.
