Sun Chemical to showcase new ingredient at in-cosmetics Korea

Sun Chemical will showcase its new 100% natural-origin charcoal powder derived from upcycled paper and pulp byproducts at in-cosmetics Korea in Seoul on 1-3 July.

ACI-5000 SunPURO Natural V. Charcoal Powder provides formulators with an alternative to conventional opacifying materials without compromising on performance or aesthetics.

The ingredient's detoxifying and oil‑control benefits are said to be ideal for skin balancing and cleansing products.

At stand D-C50, Sun Chemical will also showcase new ingredient solutions and immersive colours that reflect its leadership in high-performance, high purity, and visually impactful cosmetic pigments.

“in-cosmetics Korea is an important opportunity to connect with customers and formulators across Asia-Pacific and discuss solutions aligned with today’s cosmetics market,” said Ed Webb, Global Director of Cosmetics, Sun Chemical.

“ACI-5000 SunPURO Natural V. Charcoal Powder reflects our commitment to natural-origin alternatives for personal care and skin care applications, while our expanding Chione synthetic mica effect pigment portfolio helps brands create bold, high-impact color with brilliant luminosity,” he added.

“We look forward to welcoming visitors in Seoul to exchange insights and explore how these technologies can inspire next-generation cosmetic formulations.”

in-cosmetics Korea will take place in Hall C and The Platz in the COEX in Seoul, South Korea on 1-3 July.

The event is co-located with InterCHARM, providing a 360-degree beauty journey from personal care ingredients to finished products.
