May 2010
Jan Dekker International has introduced two new products: Silver Vine Extract BG30 and Fair Trade and Organic certified Aloe Con UP 200. Silver Vine Extract BG30 is a powerful new skin “translucency enhancer” developed by Jan Dekker partner, Maruzen Pharmaceuticals.

This active ingredient inhibits protein carbonylation in the horny layer. Skin translucency loss is related to multiple causes and is a major concern for women. The relation between translucency and carbonylation has been frequently demonstrated in literature. Initially used as a fruit wine in East Asia, only 1% Silver Vine Extract BG30 inhibits almost 100% protein carbonylation into the horny layer. As a result, the product makes skin appearance considerably brighter. The second product, Aloe Con UP 200, is introduced by Jan Dekker and partner, Florida Food Products. It is an ultra-purified, 100% pure dried powder manufactured from the aloe barbadensis miller plant. This aloe vera grows in its native habitat of Guatemala, ensuring a consistent, year-round supply. The “Fair for life – Social & Fair Trade certified by IMO” certification seal guarantees that the production complies at all stages with the social responsibility as well as fair trade criteria of the IMO Social & Fair Trade Certification Program.

Skin defences boosted by grapefruit extract
Humans are constantly exposed to harmful foreign chemicals and materials from exogenous and endogenous sources. As a result, defence mechanisms have evolved to protect against toxin overload.1 Cells are under constant threat from metabolic waste products and xenobiotics. The formation of phase I and phase II metabolism mobilises and excretes these mainly lipophilic toxins.
