AMA Laboratories, Inc. is a clinical testing laboratory devoted to the evaluation of finished cosmetic products and cosmetic ingredients. We are strategically located just a short drive north of New York City, in a modern facility which occupies approximately 15,000 square feet of laboratory and administrative space.
Founded in 1984, we have extensive experience in the fields of health and beauty aids (HBA), personal care and Over-the-Counter Drugs (OTCs).
We specialise in the areas of protocol development, safety and efficacy testing and product demonstrations. We conduct testing of sunscreens, moisturisers, wrinkle treatments, hair products, etc. AMA Laboratories provides claim substantiation for major corporations and television networks with the use of photographic, instrumental and biophysical measurements. AMA Laboratories is both an ISO certified and FDA registered facility. However, to simply sum-up, we develop novel strategies and utilise a proprietary system of scientific photography called PhotoGrammatrix to provide our clients with well-controlled, statistically valid studies. AMA Laboratories believes that our unique process gives our clients an edge in helping to assure their success in a very competitive market place.
Technologies, patents, new products AMA Laboratories is now offering in vitro sunscreen testing and have also increased our worldwide presence by opening AMA Laborator, s.r.l., a testing laboratory in Romania.

Specialised services AMA Laboratories offers our clients the opportunity to have a photographic record of the studies we conduct for them. This type of scientific photography can be used to supplement our reports providing additional and visual documentation. Often our photographs are directly incorporated into the advertisements and promotional campaigns employed to help AMA clients market their products.
New for 2010 AMA Laboratories will continue to increase our support and service to the cosmetic industry by expanding our presence at the major trade shows and scientific conferences, both in the United States and abroad, throughout this year.
